Through worship and witness, we share Christ with others. We are Christ’s disciples, living together in obedience to Jesus’ command to love one another as he loves us (John 13:34,35), and care for “the least of these” as if caring for him (Matthew 2:34-39). As a family of faith, we are called to be Christ in this community!
“Sing and make music in your heart; always giving thanks to God the Father for everything!”
Music plays a vital role in our ministry at CLC! We have been blessed with many gifts, lots of talent, and purposeful ministry! We are open to the Holy Spirit and continually seek new and creative ideas!
We have both contemporary and traditional music at CLC. Two teams alternate singing on every other Sunday: The Choir is responsible for leading the congregation in the singing of hymns and provides an inspirational anthem each week. The full Choir supports the music at 11:00 on the 1st and 3rd Sundays, and a few members help to support the music at the early service. The Praise Team provides contemporary music for the services. The Praise Team supports the music for both services on the 2nd and 4th Sundays. The Praise Team rehearses on Tuesday evenings from 6:45-8:15 and the Choir rehearses on Thursday evenings from 7:00-8:15 ! While the Choir breaks over the summer, the Praise Team, soloists, small groups, and instrumentalists provide the special music!
As the Holy Spirit moves, artists, dancers, poets and writers are incorporated!! A Ladies Ensemble, Children’s Choir, Brass and Woodwind Ensembles, etc. have all been included! There are unlimited possibilities! Your gifts and talents are always welcome here!!
Our strongest Choir attendance is during the holiday seasons! Everyone likes to participate at Christmas and Easter!! Our Christmas Choir becomes very full and musical, often incorporating 25-30+ people! Everyone is welcome!
Soundboard operators are also needed to support the music and worship services.
The Eucharist Ministry of Community Lutheran Church, taking communion to the homebound, is a gift offered to those who are unable to attend church because they are hospitalized, ill, confined to their homes, or living in a variety of senior citizens’ homes. It is also a gift to those who have been a part of this ministry. It is a blessing to both those who visit and those receiving communion. This ministry is truly a way to share the love of Christ with our brothers and sisters.
